Conference

  • Area Evangelism Coordinators – Each of the ten areas of the Texas Conference has a pastor who serves as the Area Evangelism Coordinator to assist pastors in soul winning and new territory efforts in their area. These Area Evangelism Coordinators plus Special Projects leaders and representatives from the Texas Conference, Southwestern Union and Southwestern Adventist University Staff, make up the Evangelism Team that meets quarterly to develop strategies and plans to take the Adventist message to all Texas and the World in this generation.
  • Evangelism Training is provided on Sabbath afternoons in eight locations throughout the conference yearly for lay members and pastors to move toward Total Member Involvement.
  • Strong Start is a free one day seminar offered twice a year for new and transitioning pastors to give them a strong start in their new district.
  • Fresh Start is a free one day training & coaching session to help turn around plateauing or declining churches or districts.
  • Targets – Every six months we put additional efforts and resources toward taking the Adventist message to one of our areas.
  • Financial Assistance – Every organized church and company in the Texas Conference can qualify for financial assistance to help with soul winning and entering new territories with the Adventist message. Click here for details.
  • Reach the World Next Door – A project to take the Adventist message to every language, tribal and people group in Texas (including refugees, immigrants and international students) and beyond through quarterly one-day intensives, a missionary training school near Houston and many other initiatives. Partnership with ASAP Ministries.
  • SWORD Program (Soul Winning | Outreach | Discipleship) – Every student at Southwestern Adventist University is able to participate in one or more of these projects for no additional cost – Literature Evangelism, Student Church Planters, Bible Worker Certificate. Partnership with Southwestern Adventist University and Southwestern Union.
  • Multiply – Every two years the Texas Conference selects a metro area for special help in multiplying groups, disciples and churches.

  • Glad Reapers is an evangelism training weekend offered twice a year for youth and young adults (ages 13-35) to learn how to prepare for, give and follow up a reaping series of meetings. Watch YouTube playlist. It now also incorporates the SENT program. Partnership with Texas Youth & Young Adults.
  • .fishNet app helps church leaders and members follow up interests in the areas where they live and work. Partnership with Online Christian Services.
