BEFORE THE CAMPAIGN
Having a list of names – is important to have a list of names, address, telephone number, date of birth of each person. That helps us in friendship and monitoring work with them.
Know the real situation of each person – as a Bible instructor of that person, you should know all you can about that person. Some things are vital in the workplace such as:
Do you work on Saturdays? – Know that as soon as you can to help that person with a letter or a visit to his boss. On the first visit you must know that.
They are married? (If you are a couple) – To get married a couple needs at least 4 days. (Knowing that the end of the campaign is to kill the chances of decision)
Are individuals from a church? – Knowing that will help you know what studies to emphasize. This helps you know whether to offer a book or DVD with special themes.
Important Bible Studies – Some lessons should be given as soon as possible. You will not have time to present every truth, so it is important to present the distinctive Adventist studies.
- Bible
- Salvation
- Coming of Christ
- The Law
- Saturday
- Christian Conduct
- Death
These are basic, but it is not everything. In the campaign we will work 16 tracks and leave all quite clear. These are the basics to enable the person to be baptized to know what is the Adventist church.
DURING THE CAMPAIGN
-
01 – Be on time!
Always be in the room 30 minutes before the schedule – should be at the door waiting for their stakeholders. When your stakeholders come you should be greeted by the door. That’s going to help them feel they are important. You must accompany him to his seat to feel. Give your Bible study material and (just in case you do not have) to accompany the study of the night. -
02 Accompany programming
During the meetings be aware of your interests. Consider seating them in the same area of the church so that you can easily see them and if they have any difficulty or questions you can help them. -
03 At the end of the programming
At the door talk with your interests. You can visit with church members later. Ask how they felt, if they have any questions, if they want to talk to the pastor or the evangelist. Make sure that they will return the next night. See if there is anything they need help with. -
04 Refreshments
After the meeting each evening have a meal. Use this time to visit with your interests to get better acquainted. If they have children make sure the children enjoyed their children’s meeting. -
05 The Next Day
Contact each interest. If they attended the meeting last night call to thank them for coming and confirm they are planning to come tonight. If they didn’t attend the meeting last night call to see if all is well and make sure that tonight they will come. See if they need a ride or other help to come. -
06 Talk About Baptism
Frequently mention the importance of baptism and how you will help them prepare for this beautiful event. Invite them to follow Jesus and be baptized like He was.
